Tandem skydiving is the most popular option for first-time skydivers. As the term suggests, it's a shared experience between two people: you, the passenger, and a professional instructor.
During the launch:
- Safety harness You will be connected to the instructor via a harness fixed at four strategic points: two on the shoulders and two on the hips.
- Pre-launch preparation You will receive a full briefing before the jump, which will explain the correct positions for exiting the plane, freefalling, and landing.
- Constant guidance During the flight, the instructor will take care of every technical aspect, but you will have to follow the instructions carefully to get the most out of the experience.
Thanks to the expert guidance of an instructor, tandem skydiving is accessible even to beginners, making it the safest and easiest way to experience the sensation of flight.
Why Choose Tandem Skydiving?

Tandem skydiving is the perfect way to experience the adrenaline rush of flight without worrying about the technical aspects. With an experienced instructor by your side, you can enjoy the free fall and breathtaking views without a care in the world. Whether you're doing it to overcome a fear, celebrate a special event, or simply try something new, this is a life-changing experience.
Who can do a tandem skydive?
Anyone in good general health who is at least 16 years old can do a tandem skydive: no flying experience is needed and there is no upper age limit, as long as your physical condition allows it. Under-18s need parental consent. There is more detail in our guide to the minimum age for skydiving.
Health: what to tell us before you book
A tandem jump needs no sports medical certificate: the instructor handles every technical task and your body does no real work. A few conditions, though, are worth flagging before you book, because they may need your doctor's opinion.
- Heart conditions or uncontrolled blood pressure: check with your doctor first.
- Fragile shoulders, back or knees: the harness tightens across shoulders and hips, and the landing is soft but still needs a little give.
- Epilepsy, severe vertigo or ongoing treatment: tell us in advance so we can look at it together.
- Pregnancy: the jump has to wait, and a gift voucher stays valid for 12 months.
- Recent surgery: wait for your doctor's clearance.
In any of these cases the simplest thing is to write to us before booking: we will tell you straight away whether it works or whether it is better to wait.
Weight and how the harness fits
The limit is not just the number on the scale, it is how the harness fits your body: the way the load sits across shoulders, hips and legs matters as much as your weight, which is why the limit is always confirmed when you book. If you are close to the threshold, very tall or have an unusual build, send us your height and weight when you book your jump and we will check in advance, so there are no surprises on the day.

What to bring and what to leave on the ground
Very little: comfortable sportswear, closed shoes and a valid ID. Jumpsuit, harness, helmet and goggles are all provided by us.
- Bring: your ID (plus parental consent if you are under 18), closed lace-up trainers, a long-sleeved top or sweatshirt, and a hair tie if your hair is long.
- Leave behind: watches, rings, necklaces, hats, anything loose in your pockets and your phone, which you cannot hold on to in freefall.
- Glasses and contact lenses: both are fine, and our goggles go over prescription glasses. Full details in skydiving with glasses or contact lenses, and a season-by-season guide in what to wear for skydiving.
What if the weather does not cooperate?
Tandem jumps are flown visually, so they need limited cloud cover and light wind, and the call is made by our staff on the morning itself, not the day before. If conditions are not suitable you do not lose your jump: we move it to a new date that suits you, and gift vouchers stay valid for 12 months.
How long it takes and how much it costs
Plan on 2-3 hours at the dropzone from arrival to departure, much of it spent waiting for your flight slot. Time in the air is far shorter: about 25 minutes of climb to 4,200 metres, 50-60 seconds of freefall at around 200 km/h, deployment at about 1,500 metres and 5-10 minutes under canopy down to the landing.
A tandem jump costs 180 € on weekdays and 200 € at weekends; photos and video are optional. You can book online or give a voucher valid for 12 months. If what you really want to know is how it feels the first time, read what a skydive actually feels like.
Practical Tips for Your First Launch
- Prepare your mind: it is normal to feel nervous. You will be in expert hands, and tandem skydiving is built around maximum safety.
- Flag any particular needs: if you have health concerns or specific anxieties, tell us when you book.
- Do not let fear stop you: doubts are natural, but every detail is designed around your safety.
The tips that concern the hours right before the jump (how much to sleep, what to eat for breakfast, what to wear, when to arrive) only matter once your date is set: you will find them all, step by step, in what happens on tandem jump day.
Relive your launch

One of the most exciting aspects of tandem skydiving is the ability to immortalize your jump with video or photos. Here's why you should consider recording the experience:
- Epic memory A video of your jump is not only proof of your adventure, but also a memory to cherish for a lifetime.
- Source of inspiration By showing your video to friends and family, you might convince them to take the plunge and try skydiving.
- Fun guaranteed Even if you're not used to being in the spotlight, your smile (and maybe a few screams) will capture all the emotion of the moment.
So, don't be shy! Be yourself and enjoy the moment: you'll be the star of the show.
You're Not Alone: Bring Your Friends
Sharing such an intense experience with friends or family can make it even more special. Our Skydiving Academy centre in Casale Monferrato, it also offers dedicated spaces for those who don't jump.
- Guest area Your companions can relax while watching the skydivers in action, enjoying a privileged view of the landing area.
- On-site restaurant After your jump, you can celebrate together with a snack or a cold drink.
- Strategic location Located less than an hour from Milan, Genoa, and Turin, the academy is easily accessible for a day of adventure.
For situations that deserve an individual assessment — specific health conditions, reduced mobility — there is a dedicated guide to skydiving with a disability.
