AFF Course
Become a skydiver: the AFF course
The Accelerated Free Fall is the fastest path to jumping solo in complete safety, under the direct supervision of two certified instructors.
The AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) course is the most widely used training method in the world for becoming an independent skydiver. Unlike a tandem jump, from your very first jump you'll wear your own parachute and handle the entire freefall, deployment, and landing sequence, accompanied in the air by two instructors during the first levels. The program is structured across 7 progressive levels, preceded by an intensive theory session, each focused on specific skills: freefall position control, turns, emergency procedures, and independent canopy deployment. At the end of the course you'll receive an internationally recognized license, letting you continue jumping independently at any affiliated dropzone.
AFF Course: the complete 7-level path to becoming a skydiver
The theory session
Before starting the 7 practical levels of the AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) Course, it's essential to complete an intensive theory session. This session lasts roughly 6 to 8 hours, held in a single day, often on a Friday, so you can move on to the practical jumps the following Saturday. During the theory session you'll cover several topics crucial to your training as a skydiver: aerodynamics basics, emergency procedures, body stabilization and control techniques, altimeter use, and canopy management. This theoretical preparation is essential to make sure you can approach the practical jumps with awareness and safety, understanding the dynamics of flight and standard operating procedures.
Level 1: The First Jump – Your Initiation to Flight
Your skydiving journey begins with the first big step: the jump! You'll do your first in-flight stabilization exercises, practice monitoring your altimeter, and handle the parachute deployment yourself, building instant confidence in your abilities. After deployment, an instructor on the ground will guide you by radio to ensure a controlled, safe landing.
