What data we process
We process the data you provide through the site's forms (name, email, phone number, message content), browsing data collected via cookies and similar technologies subject to your consent, and any messages you send us via WhatsApp or the virtual assistant.
Purposes and legal bases
We process data to: handle your booking and contact requests and related communications (pre-contractual and contractual measures, Art. 6.1.b GDPR); send service emails linked to your request (contract performance); produce aggregate statistics on site usage (consent, Art. 6.1.a); marketing and advertising-campaign measurement (consent, Art. 6.1.a); provide support through the virtual assistant (our legitimate interest in answering requests, Art. 6.1.f). Providing form data is optional but necessary to follow up on your request.
Retention periods
We keep request and booking data for as long as needed to handle them and to meet legal obligations (usually up to 24 months after the relationship ends, save for longer accounting and tax obligations). Statistical data is kept in aggregate form. Cookies have the durations listed in the Cookie Policy. Conversations with the virtual assistant and WhatsApp openings from the site are retained in non-identifying form for an indefinite period, in order to analyse the requests we receive and improve the information on the site.
Virtual assistant and special-category data
The virtual assistant (chatbot) answers questions about our services. We retain the questions and the corresponding answers, together with the language, the page of origin and the date, in order to understand what visitors ask and improve the information on the site (our legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f GDPR). We do not record IP addresses or any other identifier linking a conversation to a person: conversations are grouped only by a random code that cannot be traced back to you. We likewise record when someone opens WhatsApp from the site and with which pre-filled text; whatever you then write inside WhatsApp happens on Meta's servers and is not accessible to this site. Please do not enter health data or other unnecessary personal data in the chat: for questions about medical conditions or physical fitness we recommend writing directly to our instructors on WhatsApp.
Providers and external processors
To deliver our services we rely on providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers: Google Ireland Ltd (statistics and advertising), Vercel Inc. (site hosting), Anthropic PBC (virtual assistant), Regiondo GmbH (voucher and booking management), Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (when you open a WhatsApp conversation). The list is updated as we activate new services.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers are based or have infrastructure outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. In such cases the transfer relies on adequate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You may exercise at any time the rights under Arts. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise them, write to info@accademiadiparacadutismo.it: we will reply within the legal deadlines.
Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante, www.garanteprivacy.it) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
