I think there's only one word, WONDERFUL... an experience you have to have at least once in your life, and here they make you feel at ease right away. Everyone is kind, and Martina was fantastic. I don't know if or when, but if I were to... … More Relaunch... I'll definitely be back here. A wonderful gift for my 60th birthday, which, as luck would have it, I was born the same year the academy was founded: 1965.

AFF Course: The Complete 7-Level Path to Becoming a Paratrooper

Before undertaking the 7 practical levels of the Corso AFF (Accelerated Free Fall), it is essential to complete a intensive theoretical phase. This session lasts approximately 6 to 8 hours and is held in a single day, often on a Friday, to allow for practice to begin the following Saturday.

During the theoretical part, you will address several crucial topics for your training as a parachutist: Notions of aerodynamics: understand how air interacts with the body and parachute during freefall and gliding. Emergency procedures: learn to handle unexpected situations. Body stabilization and control techniques: acquire the correct positions to maintain stability during free fall and the maneuvers necessary to direct the flight. Using the altimeter: constantly monitor the altitude to ensure the parachute opens at the pre-established altitude. Parachute management: control the descent after deployment, perform approach maneuvers, and prepare for a safe landing.

This theoretical preparation is essential to ensure that you can approach practical jumps with awareness and safety, understanding flight dynamics and standard operating procedures.

Level 1: The First Launch – Your Initiation to Flight

Your skydiving journey begins with the first big step: the jump! In this initial phase, you'll learn the basics of freefall and flight control.

  • You will do the first exercises of flight stabilization, to get used to the feeling of freedom in the sky.
  • You will practice in altimeter monitoring, essential to always know when to open the parachute.
  • You will be the one to manage the opening of the parachute, immediately gaining confidence in your abilities.
  • After opening, a ground instructor will guide you away radio to ensure a controlled and safe landing.

Levels 2 and 3: Greater Control – Begin to Master Flight

Now that you've experienced your first launch, it's time to develop greater confidence and control. In these levels, you'll continue to be supported by two instructors, which will help you improve your technique.

  • You will focus on the maintain a stable position in flight, a key skill for any skydiver.
  • You will start to perform the first body control maneuvers, such as small movements and adjustments in posture.
  • In the Level 3, you will experience a key moment: the instructors will leave you temporarily fly autonomously to test your control skills.

Levels 4 and 5: Advanced Techniques – Your First Step as an Independent Skydiver

You're getting closer to absolute freedom in flight! Starting from Level 4, you will fly with only one instructor, a sign that you are gaining a good level of independence.

  • You will learn to perform changes of direction and controlled turns, essential for managing your trajectory in the air.
  • You will perfect your stability and control of body position, progressively reducing the need for instructor intervention.

This phase prepares you to become fully aware of your body in flight and to safely manage every movement.

Level 6: Emergency Simulation – Learn to Manage the Unexpected

Being a skydiver also means knowing how to face unexpected situations with clarity. In this level, you'll work on emergency management to prepare for any eventuality.

  • You will exercise the recovery of stability in case of loss of control, to react quickly and safely.
  • You will refine the techniques of altitude management, learning to make quick decisions at the right time.
  • You will be ready to demonstrate your ability to remain calm and react promptly in any situation.

Level 7: The Final Leap – Your Test of Autonomy

This is the moment you've been waiting for all along: your final leap, the ultimate test of your autonomy.

  • You will carry out a completely independent launch, demonstrating full control of free fall and maneuvers.
  • You will put into practice a sequence of combined advanced maneuvers, applying everything you've learned.
  • The instructor will evaluate your safety and mastery of flight, certifying your ability to jump alone with complete confidence.

After this leap, you can finally say you're an independent skydiver! 🎯🪂
